10 Unreal Travel Spots To Visit Before You Die

Earth is such a cool planet! It's time to go out and explore it now. Here are 10 absolutely unreal travel spots you NEED to visit before you die:

1. Palawan Island of the Philippines

Conde Nast declared the island of Palawan the most beautiful island in the world, and it's easy to see why. Places that look like this actually exist?!

2. Laguna Salada de Torrevieja, Spain

Believe it or not, there are only a few pink lakes in the world (OK, yeah. I'm sure we all believe that.) This particular lake's pigment is caused by a special kind of algae that grows in high levels of salt. The climate in this area is usually nice, but the lake isn't always pink, so keep that in mind when you visit.

3. Blue Lagoon, Iceland

This permanently blue, geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions in all of Iceland. It is manmade but still cool AF. In fact, the 100°F water has actually been known to help some people suffering from skin diseases. The area even offers in-water massages. I feel relaxed already...

4. Hotel Kakslauttanen, Finland

Kakslauttanen is known as being one of the best places to watch the northern lights, so why not do it from the comfort of a cosy igloo in the middle of a forest? Late August until the end of April are the best times to go.

5. Glass Beach, Fort Bragg, California, USA

What do you get after years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline? This apparently. The area was originally closed in 1967 so cleanup programs could get rid of all the trash that had built up. Over time, leftover glass and pottery were eventually pounded into small, smooth rocks by the waves.

6. Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

This is a saltwater lake. Like, I'm not joking. This particular one is the largest in the world. And it's trippy AF.

7. Cave of the Swallows, Aquismon, Mexico

This is debatably the 11th deepest cave shaft in the world. Temperatures are low and the cave floor is thick with guano and scorpions, but it's still freaking cool. If you're feeling adventurous, take twenty minutes to rappel yourself down (be sure to leave yourself like, two hours to climb back up) or parachute in. I mean, choices really.

8. Cat and Rabbit Islands, Japan

I never knew that the Japanese were such animal lovers. Tashirojima Island in Ishinomaki, Japan houses a large number of stray cats while Ōkunoshima Island in Takehara, Japan is home to hundreds of friendly bunnies. This is a dog lover's nightmare.

9. Appenzellerland, Switzerland

Myswitzerland.com: "Are you dreaming of glittering, mirror-like lakes and dizzying rocks, of crystal-clear springs and serene valleys, of picturesque villages and friendly people?" No, but I am now!

10. Vaadhoo Island of Raa Atoll, Maldives

If you find yourself in the Maldives, you must see the Sea of Stars because, literally. It's a sea. of. stars. Stressed out phytoplankton (from lapping waves or a dog splashing around) illuminate the water in a way that is completely surreal.
