The Friends reunion happened over the weekend, with five of the lead actors coming together for the Tribute To James Burrows. While the reunion wasn't quite as exciting as most had hoped, there was one revelation. Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox admitted that they were initially meant to be playing each others' characters.
Can anyone actually imagine a Rachel played by Cox and a Monica played by Aniston?! The two have become so synonymous with their roles that it is almost impossible to picture. Courtney Cox so perfectly embodied Monica's intense, bossy nature, while Aniston was just perfect as laid-back Rachel.
Plus, can we really picture Cox being Ross' Lobster and Aniston being with Chandler? No, just no. We think they made a good choice.
