Harry Styles Tickets Or Leaving Certificate Results? A Morning Of Stress For 6th Year Students

Worldwide superstar Harry Styles announced last week that he would be playing at Slane Castle in June 2023. It’s safe to say that Irish social media went into a frenzy when this news was released.

The former One Direction member has enjoyed an extremely successful solo career in recent years and after selling out the Aviva Stadium earlier this summer, fans were desperately waiting for the Englishman to announce a new Irish concert in the near future. Following his concert at the Aviva, Styles sent Irish fans into overdrive after he was pictured in Dublin at the popular swimming area in the ‘Vico Baths’ alongside Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson.

One thing which many people didn’t expect, was a number of Leaving Certificate students to be more interested in securing tickets for the concert at Slane Castle than opening their Leaving Certificate results.

Some tweets from students who received their results earlier this morning have made for some quality and humorous reading, with many having very different priorities than expected.

It seems many students were planning on queuing for Harry Style tickets for the past couple of days rather than collecting their usually, eagerly awaited Leaving Certificate results.

Another person tweeted this on Thursday, the night before the tickets and the results were available.
