Everyone's New Favourite Irish Choir Star On The BBC With This Ed Sheeran Cover

If you love a good sing song then you'll love the new BBC show Pitch Battle which aims to pit choirs against each in the name of entertainment. The show is inspired by the popular teen movies Pitch Perfect.

Now an Irish choir has taken over the BBC show and were runners up on Saturday nights 5th episode. The choir has been popping up all over Dublin city with their interpretations of Father Ted's 'My Lovely Horse' and The Simpsons classic 'Baby On Board'. The Ramparts have been singing together for two years and will be performing on the 29th of July at the Malahide Festival.

The band was off to a fantastic start with their rendition of an iconic pop song. Here's the band singing Sheeran's hit 'Shape of You' on Pitch Battle:

The riff-off, which sees two groups singing against one another, saw The Ramparts sing against London based choir Vocalities. The two groups covered everything from Bruno Mars 'Marry You' to Abba's 'I Do' after the theme of 'Weddings' was selected. We're ready for this mash up to be released asap:

The band covered, 'Falling Slowly' before losing their final sing 'Kissing Strangers' to Tring Park 16.Here's the full performance of The Ramparts version of 'Falling Slowly' (I'm not crying, you're crying!):

Well done lads. We're sure we'll be seeing a lot more from the choir.
