It's Official: Barack Obama Has Better Taste In Music Than You
The former president of the United States released a 2017 playlist of his favourite tunes and it seems that he really has his finger on the pulse when it comes to the best new music going.
Some of his picks include Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamaar, Frank Ocean and indie darlings The National plus a few more esoteric choices demonstrating that he isn't just about mainstream music.

A fairly eclectic mix from the 44th President of the United States of America. Still a few dodgy tunes. DJ Khaled? U2? Though you'd have to wonder whether this playlist had a helping hand from his daughters Malia and Sasha.
Still if he really did pick this playlist himself it's evident that he wouldn't be the worst chap to man the decks at your pre drinks.
He posted a Facebook status with a list of his favourite music and literature in his new year address:
During my presidency, I started a tradition of sharing my reading lists and playlists. It was a nice way to reflect on the works that resonated with me and lift up authors and artists from around the world. With some extra time on my hands this year to catch up, I wanted to share the books and music that I enjoyed most. From songs that got me moving to stories that inspired me, here's my 2017 list — I hope you enjoy it and have a happy and healthy New Year.
