Chris Pratt Slaughtered By Vegans For New Farming Hobby

Chris Pratt recently returned to social media after a month long hiatus, and he probably wished he'd just stayed offline.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star is one of the most lovable celebrities out there, it's actually almost impossible to imagine anybody being mad at him - that is until he starts killing baby sheep, of course. Pratt's first social media activity after his hiatus was to reveal he had turned his hand to farming since his split from Anna Faris in a post which featured a delicious selection of meats.

The problem (for some people) was that the picture was accompanied by a story of where the meat came from. Pratt's family had been raising a lamb which, he explained ' lived a very good life" before they used him for meat and his wool for yarn.

Obviously this is all perfectly normal procedure, but the previously teflon Pratt is now seemingly public enemy number one for vegans. Some people think that vegans don't usually need a lot to be set off but maybe describing the fatal blow involved in the slaughtering process as "like unplugging a TV" wasn't the way to go?

He was met with a backlash of comments under the post from vegan followers with one poster even commenting: 'This is awful. You murdered someone [the lamb] and now you are bragging about it on social media'.

Another took exception to Pratt trying to paint a picture of a lamb that was previously loved and sheep that "didn't notice" saying: 'The smug face of supposedly "kind" meat? Did you hear personally from the other sheep that they didn't notice? Arrogant, Arrogant man.'

One extreme view of a follower even likened the meat industry to slavery. Yes, really. '200 years ago slavery was acceptable. What we did years ago doesn't morally justify it today. Traditions can be barbaric'.

Just to take it one step further, or at least a sidestep, another of Pratt's followers compared him to Adolf Hitler. 'Unplugging a TV!!! Unplugging a TV!!! I expect that's how Hitler felt about the Jews. Fuck you very much'.

Pratt has yet to apologise for the non-crime of thinking lamb is delicious, practicing farming or being an omninvore and if sense prevails it will stay that way. Instagram, however, still has the "unfollow" option for people you don't like.
