9 Reasons Why Joanna Donnelly Was Ireland's True Storm Queen

While Teresa Mannion may have grabbed the headlines during the storm in Galway last December, Met Éireann's Joanna Donnelly was surely the MVP of Storm Ophelia this week. The meteorologist rightly recieved huge plaudits for her updates on RTÉ throughout Sunday evening and Monday, as she kept the country safe, informed and even entertained.

After putting in a tremendous shift, we think she deserves a special mention and here are just a few reasons why.

1. She was the nation's mammy, watching out for all of us

2. Although Ophelia resulted in lost lives and a lot of damage, if it wasn't for her and her colleagues things could have been a lot worse

3. Between herself and Gerry Murphy they were on every show going, keeping people up to date

4. Depsite working for what seemed 75 hours straight she still looked the part

5. When we had gone to bed, she was STILL working!

6. Her power nap game was 10/10

7. She's like some sort of tree whisperer

8. All she asked for in return was a lie-in and a little TLC

9. The little girl's letter perfectly sums up everything
