Netflix's Chilling New Crime Drama Debuts Friday And It Looks Seriously Intense

How do we understand the actions of an evil person if we don't get inside their mindset?

That's the premise of David Fincher's psychological thriller Mindhunter which focuses on two FBI agents, Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), as they attempt to learn what makes serial killers tick and how to spot their patterns in an era where they weren't yet 'a thing.'

It's 1979, and alarmingly, there is a growing number of men who are killing without motive or reason. Charles Manson has gone on a murder spree and David Berkowitz, New York City’s Son of Sam, is locked up for killing six people which he claimed his dog made him do. America is shaken to the core and law enforcers are baffled.

Based on the memoir of FBI profiler John Douglas, Mindhunter isn't so much about the punishment as it is about the crime - or at least the man behind the crime. Scraping the surface, it digs deep into the darkest depths of the human mind as Ford and  Tench travel the US looking for murderers to interview.

The forecast for this series looks seriously chilling and something tells us it's so much more than your average run of the mill crime drama. We're dying to watch it.
