If An Oscar Nomination Wasn't Enough...The $85,000 Goodie Bag should do it!

So, the sentence "I was just happy to be nominated" has taken a new slant this week as it was revealed that every oscar nominee has received a goody bag worth $85,000. But sure these celebrities not only have endorsed multi-millions at the box office, got a nice pay packet and received more exposure than Tan Mom in her local tanning bed salon - but this is not enough. Our academy award nominees get $85,000 worth of surprises on the night.

'Recession' is a word not often used in Hollywood and these extra-ordinary gift baskets certainly highlight that. From a $15,000 walking tour of Japan and a $16,000 hair transplant voucher to two luxurious trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii, they are really set up for the next couple of years. So, what else in these prestigious gift bags gets it up to the value of $85,000? According to the Business Insider, "this year's basket costs nearly double the price of last year's with more than 50 gifts ranging in price from $6.50 to $16,000." Here's what's been in the bags over the years...

From the looks of things, Oscar nominee's will take home many paintings, beauty products, meal donations, designer shoes, expensive holidays, hair transplant vouchers, 10 personal training sessions with Huntley Drive Fitness and many, many more, just in case they were low on cash this month. Among some of the lower priced products were luxurious condoms, pet shampoo, a Bluetooth camera, a $30 bottle of vodka, designer lollipops and horse shampoo and conditioner. Looks like the saying "nobody is a loser" really applied here.

And, lets not forget the now biggest tweet of all time, gaining 2.8 million retweets and 1.4 million favorites, tweeted by host Ellen DeGeneres. It really was a great night in hollywood.
