11 Endless Struggles All Pale Irish Girls Will Relate To
Irish people are pale, let's face it. There's the odd exception, normally when someone's parents are from somewhere else, but on the whole, we're a pale-ass nation.
There are some of us, however, that are paler than most. If you're one of these people you'll know of the absolute torture associated with it. From never finding a matching foundation to blending into the sand on beach holidays, here are just a few of the struggles of being a pale Irish girl.
1. People always ask "are you sick?"
No, I'm not sick, this is my skin with no makeup on.
2. No shade of foundation will ever match your skin
Unless they plan on bringing out a shade called 'ghost' you'll always look slightly off.
3. Tan makes you look like you've some sort of skin disease
It doesn't matter if you exfoliate, moisturise and use the world's best tanning mitt, you'll always look crusty.
4. People laugh at you with factor 50 but little do they know you actually use factor 100
Once the sun even gets close to your skin, you burn.
5. When you lie down on the beach you blend into the sand
This meme is us all.
6. You can't wear white clothes
Because you'll disappear into existence, that's why.
7. When you blush it looks like you've just run a marathon
The redness can get so overwhelming you might as well lie to people.
8. When you workout you look like you're about to faint
When you gaze over at tanned girls who just simply sweat and you look at yourself, the comparison can be a bit overwhelming. Not only do you sweat buckets, you turn a shade of red no healthy human should.
9. Pressed powder is the darkest bronzer you can use
It's funny because it's true.
10. The sun is your enemy in every way and form
Once you see it, you avoid it like the plague. Unless you're bathing in factor 100 even five minutes is enough to burn you.
11. Finally...people use your skin colour to make themselves feel more tanned
It's as bad as starting a sentence with "no offence but," I will get offended and by the way, you're an arsehole.
