Ryan Reynolds Defends His Daughter & Everyone Swoons

Ryan Reynolds is doing a lot of press for Deadpool at the moment, so it was inevitable that something would come up about his family. While the star is usually tightlipped on his daughter James, he was very quick to come to her defence when a reporter commented on her unusual name.

One of the hosts on Good Morning Britain called the name an "unusual choice" and Reynolds was quick to respond, saying "I feel like we're not breaking any new ground here. I mean, I didn't call her Summer Squash Meadow Lark or something."

While James might be a tad unusual for a girl, thank fuck they didn't name the kid Summer Squash. In this day and age, celebrities have been known to call their kids all kinds of ridiculous things (we're looking at you Jason Lee and your poor kid Pilot Inspektor) so we feel like James is a pretty alright name in comparison.

Also, let's all just swoon at Ryan Reynolds being all protective and amazing.
