The Pussycat Dolls Are In Talks To Reform For A 2018 Tour

The Pussycat Dolls have decided to loosen up their buttons once again...

In 2009 the six-piece girl band took what was meant to be a hiatus but never released new material. Now, according to The Irish Sun, Scherzy has agreed to reunite with Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt and Melody Thornton. Although Scherzy has managed to occasionally appear on the charts, other members of the band have faded into obscurity or have appeared on reality TV shows Celebrity MasterChef  (Kimberly Wyatt) and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here (Ashley Roberts). A source told The Irish Sun that:

Talk of the girls getting back together has been rife for a few years now and they have finally found a time which works for them all. They are still deciding whether it will involve a full tour or just a handful of performances but they are excited to be getting out there together again. The girls feel the time is right to let bygones be bygones and put any differences they had behind them and celebrate the great songs they made. As well as their old tunes, they are hoping to treat fans with new music, too. When they parted ways in 2009 it was only intended to be a hiatus, so it feels like the right thing to do.

Although the group only ever released two albums, non-fans of the noughties pop music scene will remember 'Don't Cha', 'Stickwitu', 'Buttons' and 'When I Grow Up' constantly on the radio.

In the past, former members of the band, originally a burlesque troop, have openly discussed their problems with lead singer Nicole Scherzinger. It is not yet known whether Carmit Bachar will be rejoining with the five girls as she previously revealed in 2012 the struggles she and her bandmates had with Nicole:

I'm still good friends with Ashley (Roberts) she's my soul sister. All of the Dolls are still friends, apart from Nicole. Nicole knows I had a child, my daughter Kaela Rose last year, but she never got in touch. A Pussycat Dolls reunion isn't out of the question. Five of us - and not Nicole - could happen. But all six? Never. Too much water under the bridge...I think Nicole got it into her head that she was the real star and would be better off on her own. She started travelling in her own tour bus and the divide between her and the rest us just got bigger... Nicole basically wanted to be front and centre all the time. We were expected to work our a***s off to boost Nicole and her own career. The situation became unbearable.

Eh, whatever happened, we're just glad they've managed to put their differences aside and reunite for the love of the paycheque music.
