Reactions To A New David Attenborough Series Are Hilarious

A new David Attenborough series means one thing and one thing only, autumn. With the cooler nights and leaves falling from the trees, our return to our dens and the beginnings of our hibernation means watching animals leave theirs. It's nature and Attenborough is its voice.

According to the BBC, Dynasties will be the latest in Attenborough's series to explore the power of the animal kingdom. The new series will be five episodes long and will feature, the African wild dog, chimpanzees, the African lion, emperor penguins, and tigers:

Judging by the BBC's tweet, Dynasties will explore animal family relations and the power of the pack leader. Dynasty is a popular theme throughout film and television that focuses on bloodline, hierarchy and the importance of family and it feels like Attenborough's Dynasties will sweep The Crown and Dynasty under the rug.

Stills from the show indicate that the series will be another visual landmark in television history and with the show's focus on some of the most fascinating and socially complex animals on the planet, things could take an interesting and violent turn.

While the rest of us remained shook by the thoughts of another DA narrated series, fans couldn't help but notice that the emperor penguin which featured in the BBC's tweet looked particularly badass:

While the emperor penguin might be considered the cuddliest animal on this list, penguins kidnap other chicks if their chick perishes, regularly cheat on their partners and survive in -60 degree temperatures. So yeah, emperor penguins are badass.

Dynasties is coming to BBCOne this autumn.
