The GAA.... a national institution. A culture that has seen more blood, sweat, tears, hang sangiches and bottles of cider put into it than any other in this country. An association that has, through thick and thin remained an amateur sport. Sure we wouldn't have it any other way, would we?!

1. Pro - GAA jerseys don't get you kicked out of Coppers....

Con - To get into any other night club, you may currently be taking fashion advice from this guy.

5. Pro - GAA players don't tear your heart out and p*ss all over your dreams by moving to a county just bought by a wealthy Arab sheikh or Asian business man.


Con - Seanie Johnstone tried to ruin this......sort of...without the wealthy owners...


6. Pro - Sunshine Supporters can revel in victory during the championship.....


Con - .....and not care on a cold and dirty Sunday in February during the league


7. Pro - Dancing at the crossroads

Con - Crying at Junction 14

8. Pro - Harry Potter loves the GAA craic


Con - Magic can't be used on a GAA pitch

9. Pro - You won't see anyone crying in a GAA derby

Con - Nonetheless serious injuries may occur....

but we get over it.....

10. Con - We lost young GAA stars such as Kevin Moran and Niall Quinn to England.

Pro - They'll never take Shane Curran

11. Pro - The GAA even brings the craic out of Enda Kenny.


Con - The day after he's back to normal.

Con - But not in Ireland....YET...booo

Con - The Profits go to the dark GAA overlords

Pro - Goal's don't come....revert to plan B, 'take your goals and..........' ala Lar Corbett and Shane O'Donnell.

16. Pro - Being able to spot an underage player with great potential

Con - Spotting him years later withered by drink

Con - The more realistic 'they had to lose one to lose one'.
