Bow Down To BOD

Brian O'Driscoll or more commonly known as BOD opened his final RBS Six Nations campaign with a home win against Scotland at the Aviva last Sunday.

Sport doesn’t appeal to everyone especially the body crunching, maul grabbing stuff but it would take living under a rock to not at least have heard a mention of the Irish legend that is taking part in the game for the last time.

Brian O’Driscoll plays within a league of his own, being the most capped player for Ireland, he has played 129 games in a green jersey and remains as the leading try scorer.

You might remember the Ireland team from their last appearance during the November test series of 2013 when the All Blacks came to visit.

While nobody could possibly forget the anger that almost caused Warren Gatland to be excommunicated from Ireland after his decision to drop ‘BOD’ from the Lion’s team in the summer.

Brave move Gatland! Brave move!

But of course our Irish hero stood tall against the welsh dude and showed no resentment towards him.

For the duration of the 2014 tournament all eyes will be focused on BOD as he sports his number 13 jersey.

Will he rekindle his unforgettable hat-rick against France in 2000?

Or aid Ireland in a Grand Slam, Triple Crown and Six Nations Championship win like he did in 2009?

Brian O’Drisscoll is representative of a lot of things, playing rugby is one, but being tuned into what sport is about is another, the man is all about teamwork and camaraderie.

This year's six nations comes with the idea of winning for BOD!
