McVitie’s, as part of National Biscuit Week, are looking for a dedicated biscuit connoisseur to join their team as a biscuit tester – Probably one of the best opportunities out there!
If you’re looking for something to bulk out your CV, and would like to dunk your toe in the waters of professional tasting, then look no further because this is the job for you. This week is National Biscuit Week and McVitie’s want someone who is just as obsessed with biscuits as they are to test all their newest creations, and manage quality control on all others.
This job will consist of eating biscuits, being paid in biscuits, testing biscuits, dunking biscuits and sipping on tea - with biscuits.
They need someone who will take the art of biscuiting seriously. Rich Teas, Jaffa Cakes, Chocolate Digestives, Family Circle, Hob Nobs, Fruit Shortcakes and Penguins all need someone like you to make sure the best of the best is delivered.
Responsibilities include:
- A commitment to always be available to have an aul bikkie – sure a cuppa isn’t the same without one.
- Ability to assess a quality ‘snap’ in a biscuit where a quality snap is desired.
- A keen eye for an even chocolate covering, with a generous distribution.
- Optimise use of biscuit eating opportunities both on and off the job.
- Help to create global synergy between the biscuit maker and the biscuit eater
- Keeping abreast of new developments in the biscuit world in terms of new shapes coming to the market such as the rhombus and trapezoid.
