Sol Republic - The Indestructible Headphone

Sol Republic Ireland  enlisted us with the opportunity to put their Tracks and Master Tracks headphones to the test over the past few days. Because these headphones are marketed as being almost entirely indestructible, we did the only thing we could think of, try and destroy them...

But before we got to that, and with full confidence that we were going to be able to break them, we had a look at the technical stuff, apart from the Iron Man like qualities, the sound quality is what we really look at when we buy new headphones. The Tracks' advantage over other products is a level EQ with a really boosted bass, which is good for hip hop and dance music. They definitely sound a lot  less muddy than most other headphones in a similar price range and while they particularly shine at bass laden tracks, they perform equally well on all kinds of music, so Garth Brooks fans will be happy as well.

Now to the good stuff, the headband, made of a killer polymer, you can pretty much twist, bend, squeeze and contort the headband however you want and it will remain unfazed.

We even tried to stamp on it...

Moral of the story: good luck trying to destroy this thing without the aid of a large truck...
