Students, Here's Everything You Need For The Ultimate Lazy Day

It's a tough life being a student, what with exams and the after effects of all that fun and too much sleeping and everything, I get it. Right now though? Well, now is surely the best time of the entire college year, thus far anyway. Exams are over. Freedom is stretching right in front of you like some sort of beautiful, majestical dream. You're tired, worn down and mentally just drained and so, before your summer travel plans or jobs or whatever other responsibilities come and take hold, there's only one thing to do. Have a lazy day to beat all other lazy days and just to make it that bit lazier, we've come up with a guide of essentials and everything. You're welcome!

1) Let time be on your side.

Time is of the essence and of absolute necessity when it comes down to the very nitty gritty and inner workings of having a lovely, lazy little day for yourself. Carve out that time JUST FOR YOU. Tell your neediest of friends that actually no, you won't be responding to a single one of their messages all the live long day and also, there's no point in them tagging you in endless dog videos. Nah nah, not today pals. Today, you're locking the door, avoiding all human contact, moving all plans a day or two back and just chilling like an unknown villain.

2) Be selective in your choice of company.

Now personally, if I'm having a lazy day to beat all other lazy days, then everyone else around me can just piddle off and leave me be, but it's safe to assume that not everyone is quite so cut-throat. Some of us need a little love, a little affection and someone to spoon us and or more importantly, bring food to our bedside. Just ensure that your lazy day pal is just as content with doing little to nothing all day too and you're golden.

3) Food- obviously a vast selection of food.

What the hell even is a lazy day is not one filled with food, food and more glorious food? Lucky for all of you lazy Larry's out there, I've got just the thing you're likely to be looking for. Firehouse Pizza, aka, the creators of some of Dublin's tastiest Italian delights (so namely pizza then) have some offers and quirks that should appeal directly to you and your hungry belly. Delivery from Firehouse starts at 11am (so roughly when you wake up) and they currently they have a meal deal for two people's worth of pizza, drinks and cookies and cream dessert, all for a sweet ass sixteen beans. It's a yes from me.

4) Comfort is key.

I think it's safe to presume that we're not getting dolled up on a day as fine as this, amiright? Of course I am, because as all two of my ex-boyfriends will tell you, I'm always right. *Not even sorry* Throw all caution to the wind here, whip out your finest selection of U-G-L-Y comfies, scrape the make-up off your face Ladies and Gents? Well, just be your usual stunning selves. The more blankets, cushions, and layers the better too.

5) Ensure that you've got the best of the best entertainment on hand.

Forget your artsy, fartsy six hours films here and instead, think fluffy, think funny, think, 'things that don't require all that much brain power' films or even better, that tv series you've been dying to get stuck into for months now. Netflix that stuff right up and expand on your background noise, if only for a day. Cultured? You? Most certainly.
