Ten Essential Bars to visit InterRailing 2014

If you're inter-railing this Summer it's pretty feasible that you could end up in ten different countries. Where will you drink you might ask... Well you've come to the right place. These are the top ten drinking venues in the top ten inter railing destinations:

1. Munich, Germany

Go to: Muffatwerk

Why: It's a pretty cool place! It's located in a former power plant which makes the acoustics of the music pretty awesome.  The crowd here are chill and friendly. The drinks are cheap too!

Drink: Everything! All drinks are cheap and this is a serious party place so go get your freak on!

2. Edinburgh, The UK

Go to: Brambles Bar

Why: Cocktails in teacups. This may be one for the girls, but lads if you're secure in your masculinity give it a go! The bar itself is very quaint and cosy! It's a little out of the way, situated in the new town, but taxis are very cheap, much like the prices! Plus, think about how good it'll look on instagram.

Drink: Miss Muffet. A zingy combination of vodka, lemon, and vanilla. Simply delicious.

3. Hvar, Croatia

Go to: Hula Hula Hvar

Why: With the Hawaiian theme and located right on the beach you're promised to witness a little piece of heaven here. You can tan while you drink (which should always be option) and with the super relaxed atmosphere during and glorious sunshine during the day you'll never want to leave! You're sure to be stunned by the beautiful sunset.

Drink: Go for a light-beer. You'll probably end up drinking here all day.

4. Amsterdam, Holland

Go to: Cafè Brecht

Why: Comfortable and quirky. With mismatched furniture, weird wallpaper and the kooky miscellaneous things you find that this bar is basically your Grandmothers house, but better. The laid-back atmosphere will have you chilled out to your maximum point. It's certainly a little different from the coffee shops and err... window displays.

Drink: More Beer. This place has a really great selection of German beers at a really reasonable prices!

5. Berlin, Germany

Go to: King Kong Klub

Why: Because it's fun. In this bar you'll meet a ton of the student type people, banging tunes, good craic and cheap drinks! It's definitely a must for a guaranteed good night on a budget!

Drink: Whatever is on offer!

6. Prague, Czech Republic

Go to: Any absinthe bar.

Why: To find the Green Fairy of course! Prague is the no.1 place to drink absinthe in the world, it's a local delicacy and it would be an insult to miss out on the opportunity. Absinthe bars are everywhere and fairly cheap considering you don't need much to get absolutely pissed. Just be careful that you don't wake up in a ditch,

Drink: Shots of Absinthe  (Bonus tip: Slippery Nipples hurt the least.)

7. Budapest, Hungary

Go toMoszkva Tér Bisztró/The Pub at the Hub

Why: It's location. Situated smack bang in the middle of the Buda side of the city. Because of its'bustling location it makes for a great place for people-watching. So just sit back, relax and soak in the culture.

Drink: Whatever tickles your fancy- it's all cheap!

8. Vienna, Austria

Go to: Strandbar Herrmann

Why: It's a beach in the middle of Vienna, so why not?! Hang out with your travel buddies or invite your new hostel mates. This place is perfect for just hanging out and making memories.

Drink: Sex on the beach. No further explanation needed.

9. Ljubljana, Slovenia

Go toČolnarna Boathouse

Why: Imagine this, sitting by the river front with the sun beaming down and your best mates all around. It's just delightful. Situated in Tivoli park it's easy to get to. I recommend throwing a frisbee around or taking a paddle, but getting tipsy and chasing the swans is just as fun!

Drink: I recommend a tall cool beer to help soak in that sunshine. It's a hard knock life after all.

10. Krakow, Poland

Go to: Beer Gallery

Why: It's basically the beer UN. With 150 different kinds of beer available at 2.60e each you can't really go wrong. It's basically a candy shop for adults. You'll meet other beer lovers, and the more you drink, the more you fall in love. Don't expect to remember much the next morning however.

Drink: Whatever kind of beer you can imagine, they have it
