12 Reasons Why 'Dieting' Is A Load Of Bollocks

Anyone who has ever started a diet or fitness regime knows the struggle is real not to fall into temptation. The reality is the whole weight loss journey thing is a load of shite and we all have felt the pressure, especially in January.

The truth of the matter is the majority of those pressures are an illusion. The biggest culprit is social media and those Instagram accounts we all thirst follow. Those people aren't real, look up face tuning and photoshop if you don't believe me, and if you're feeling bad about yourself you need to hit that unfollow button. Surround yourself with people who'll celebrate you for who you are. For anyone who has tried this 'dieting' malarky, here are 10 things you've definitely said or done over the course of January or your lifetime:

1. The confusion over what's healthy and what's not is a daily struggle

2. You'll try to decide whether to have a cheat meal or go drinking but you'll end up doing both anyway

3. Saving healthy recipes and workout videos on your phone becomes a past time until you delete them all to save some memory

4. Constantly saying "The diet starts tomorrow!" whenever you eat a square of chocolate

5. You'll nibble the edges of a bar of chocolate and tell yourself it doesn't really count

6. You'll substitute one thing for another and eat more of it just cause it has 'low fat' on the label

7. You'll buy marked down tracksuits and keep old clothes as "gym gear" even though you've no intentions of ever joining a gym

8. When anyone mentions the word takeaway you'll be first to mention your order and then wonder afterwards why you haven't been losing weight

9. You'll hate that person in your life who eats 5 Dominos a week and doesn't gain a pound when all you have to do is glance at a chip

10. You'll buy healthy sounding things like Quinoa and couscous and find them 6 months later shoved into the back of a press

11. You'll tell people "I shouldn't be having this" and then eat it anyway

12. People with no weight complaining about being overweight will become your mortal enemy

Feck the diet lads. Chunky and funky all the way.
