Aye Do! Louth Woman's Husband Choice Puts A Whole New Spin On The Term 'Ghosting'

The single life ain't easy. Finding the right partner can be a bit of a minefield and after one too many failed relationships, we can be left feeling a bit... shipwrecked.

Not Amanda Teague though. Nope, according to The Daily Star, after getting fed up with searching for the right man, the 45-year old from Louth did the next best thing - she married the ghost of a Haitian pirate who died in the 1700s.

Amanda's relationship with the ghost, named Jack, is like that of any other couple. She told the publication:

He is my soulmate. I am so happy. It is the perfect kind of relationship for me. There are a lot of people out there who don't know about spiritual relationships, but it could be right for them. I want to get the message out there.

Amanda, who is believed to work as a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator, began her relationship with the spirit in 2014 when she was lying in bed and could feel his energy beside her.

Amanda sailed into international waters so she could legally marry the ghost and a spirit medium conducted the wedding.

Listen, far be it for us to judge. While people may have their opinions on the story, you can't fault her resourcefulness in fairness!
