Would You Like Some 'Peace&Carrots' With That?

It's not very often that budding entrepreneurs encounter a great deal of success in such a short period of time, in the creative industry especially, ideas come and go and concepts are constantly rehashed and reused. In this unpredictable field, it's great to see the young, talented Irish making a name for themselves, none more so than Greystones native Cillian Drury, who recently completed a Masters Degree in Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship at London's prestigious Goldsmith's University.
Drury, along with business partner Duarte Soares, started Peace&Carrots, a creative consultancy firm, that dabbles in the t shirt business.
At it's core, Peace & Carrots is a creative consultancy for young social innovators that bases itself on the ideas of co-operation and collaboration. This, you can imagine is a challenging idea upon which to develop a brand, and so, an independent street wear label, that's made ethically, became the face of a brand that represents so much more.
So far, the pair have worked with some well-established brands such as Jameson, Bean Pole and The Village Bicycle as we'll as individually with big names like Mark Ronson and Cara Delevigne, but it's important to note that things aren't always easy, it' about just sticking it out, going to events and keeping their head above water right now.
Speaking to Drury about what's next, he says "we are working closely at the moment with an up and coming musician Fred Light. Basically giving him creative direction and in the next month or so we will be story boarding a music video for his song Red Stone Wall, for this we're going to be bringing in the whole creative team. From the best camera and sound guys we know, to the best make up artists and stylists in our realm.
The future looks bright, and the motto? “closer than yesterday” ... Seems fitting.
