How To Make Perfect Fluffy Pancakes Every Time

Pancakes make the world go round. They are the staple of every breakfast and provide happiness and sugar rushes – our two favourite things.

However, the making of pancakes has baffled Irish students for centuries. Making pancakes that are fluffy enough, piled high enough and generally tantalising, is a skill everyone should know. Here's a recipe that's foolproof and will guarantee that you make perfect pancakes every single time.

So get out that frying pan and get flippin'.

Ingredients:

135g plain flour

1tsp baking powder

1/2tsp salt

2tbsp caster sugar

130ml milk

1 large egg lightly beaten

2tbsp melted butter or olive oil plus extra for cooking

Method:

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and caster sugar into bowl. In a separate bowl mix together egg and milk, then whisk in the melted butter.

Pour the milk and egg mixture into the flour and use a fork and beat until you have a smooth batter.

Heat a pan over a medium heat and and some butter or oil for cooking. Add a dollop of batter or two for larger/thicker pancakes. Wait until the top of the pancake begins to bubble, then flip over and cook until both sides are golden brown.

Top with every thing imaginable, take a quick Insta and enjoy bitches.
