There Are Two Gin Festivals Coming To Ireland This Summer

Everyone loves a good summer festival, and everyone loves a good summer festival if there is alcohol. Thankfully for those of us with a gin inclination, there are two such events coming up this summer. Those of you not heading to Slane next weekend should head to Galway, for Gin Fest 2019.

Over the last few years, there has been a bit of a Gin revolution in Ireland. Craft Gin companies are popping up all over the country. Dingle Distillery and Drunshambo Gunpowder Irish Gin are two of the most notable.

Kicking off on Thursday, 6 June, you can look forward to four fantastic days of master classes, tastings, gin cruises, new gin launches, and much more. Events will be running on into the night as well, with Galway city's bars and restaurant keeping the party going until Sunday, 9 June.

On the Saturday (World Gin Day), ‘The Gin Village’ will be making a return in The Quays Bar from 5-7pm. As well as a live DJ, there will be plenty of pop up Gin bars for you to stroll through and sample a range of G&Ts.

Dublin's 'Gin Fusion' will take place on 20th July, and will feature Tastings, Demos, 20+ Gin vendors, Gin Brunch, Gingo (Gin Bingo), Cocktail making demos, Dry ice gelato making, Afternoon G&Tea, Blind gin tastings, Bodytonic DJs.
