It's Set To Get Easier For Music Lovers To Grab Concert Tickets

Anyone who has ever waited in an online queue to buy tickets to their favourite artist or show knows the struggle is real. It looks like the days of panic and frantically refreshing pages could be a thing of the past as Ticketmaster introduces verified fans.

Artists will have verified pages on Ticketmaster where fans can register their personal details to receive a code that will allow them early access to buy their tickets. Not every fan will receive a code but it increases your chance of being able to get your hands on those gold dust tickets. If you are chosen as a verified fan you will receive a code two hours before the verified fan presale begins.

Taylor Swift has used verified fan codes to sell her US stadium tour but some fans speculated that in order to be considered a 'superfan' and receive a code you had to purchase merchandise first. US fans on Twitter found the verified fan process underwhelming and expensive:

Ticketmaster is hoping the move will decrease touting and allow genuine fans the chance to buy tickets. Fingers crossed any issues with the new format are ironed about before the next big gig is announced.
