Watch: Irish Columnist Believes People With Tattoos Must 'Hate Themselves'

Anyone with a tattoo knows opinions are rife when it comes to your choice of expression. Surprisingly, Brenda Power, an Irish columnist disgusted by tattoos and life in general, appeared on RTÉs Claire Byrne Live and unleashed an emotionally charged rant on tattoos, even though she has never been tattooed:

Powers comments were directed at Baz, a tattoo artist who featured on the panel to debate Power's comments. Power revealed she felt tattoos depict a poor sense of self and questioned the age limit of people who are tattooing their bodies:

To be honest, Baz, looking at you, the first thing that comes to mind is: why do you hate yourself so much? Why do you hate the skin you were born in, the body you were born in, that you would do this. It is permanent. You're going to look like that, well you're not going to look as well as that at all, in 40 years time. You have no idea how you're going to feel... I know, he knows it's permanent... How many people are going into this salon?...People who are 18...I'm wondering how many have thought that through.

Baz remained calm and collected and responded perfectly to Powers comments, reminding people that they have ownership over their bodies::

Twitter users could not understand Powers stance when she herself does not feel the need or want a tattoo and felt she was out of touch with modern times:
