Graduates Will Be Delighted With This Unreal Job Update

Hooray for jobs!

A growing number of Irish graduates are walking into jobs upon finishing college. According to the Irish Independent, 62% of graduates who left University in 2015 were employed the following spring.

It looks like the graduates making the biggest dough are in information and communications technology, with 70% of graduates working in Ireland. As always, education is the quickest way to get a job in Ireland with 72% walking into a job teaching a few kids.

The highest to lowest paid graduates are as follows;

  • ICT – 31% on €29,000-€33,000
  • Health, Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction – 27% on €33,000 or more
  • Arts and Humanities – 21% on €13,000

So it looks like Arts and Humanities students have got the short end of the stick here when it comes to the jobs front. But overall, it seems there are much more opportunities for Irish graduates now than ever before (last of the facts and figures I promise) Finally, when all graduates including Masters and Post-grad students are put together 68% were working in spring 2016.

So there you have it folks, it's not all doom and gloom is it?
