A UL Student Is In A Critical Condition In Luxembourg After Alleged Assault

A University of Limerick student is currently in intensive care following an alleged assault in Luxembourg. The student (21) was involved in a serious injury on Friday, April 13.

A family member, who asked not to be identified, spoke to the Independent.ie, confirming that the student was in Luxembourg studying on their Erasmus.

The Irish folk singer Christy Moore paid tribute to the student during a performance at the University Concert Hall last weekend.

The musician dedicated his performance of ‘Beeswing’ to the student, a massive fan of the musician, who was due to travel back to Limerick to attend the gig.

The student was on their Erasmus when the accident happened. A number of masses have been held in Limerick and a mass will take place this evening in Luxembourg.
