Most people see competitions like this every day on their timeline.

With everything from vouchers to jewellery, they are the norm for most people and most of the time we turn a blind eye to them. However, this competition was a bit different as it claimed to be Audi Ireland, and promised winners could score a car as well as lots of money.

The fake Audi Ireland post says,

Win a BRAND NEW 2016 Audi RS7 Worth €161.000!
We want to do something big for one of you, so now you have this unique chance to win the brand new Audi RS7 worth €161.000!
All you have to do to be a part of the competition is:

2) Share this picture
3) Write “AUDI” in the comment section or tag two friends who
you think should join as well!

Over 60,000 people believed and shared the post, hoping to win the fresh pair of wheels. The official Audi Facebook page, then released this statement;

We have been alerted to a Facebook page that is claiming to be an official Audi Ireland page. This page is also running a competition where it is claiming to give away an Audi RS 7. Please note that this page and competition is in no way affiliated with Audi Ireland or our official dealer partners.

Aw man, better look next time I guess.
