Love Island's Greg And Amber Have Broken Up Hours Before Late Late Show Appearance

Love, love is dead. More specifically, the fledgling love between Love Island winners Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea is dead.

This comes as devastating news to all - particularly this writer - as given the slew of Love Island break-ups/ reported break-ups recently, this site is in danger of becoming little more than a vehicle for assessing and commenting on the relationship status of a group of ex-reality stars.

The news that the winners of Love Island 2019 have split was reported to the sun by an 'insider'. How someone can be an 'insider' to a relationship, without being either of the parties involved in the relationship is a mystery that remains outside of the purview of this article.

They said that:

"Greg has broken up with Amber and is blaming their busy schedules and now they want to focus on their careers.

Amber feels used by Greg. He was always aware of the distance and his career in their relationship, and yet he chose to seek out Amber in the villa knowing there would always be the distance.

He hasn't made any effort to come to London to see Amber, despite it being over five weeks, it's always Amber who had to make the effort."

The source claimed that Greg apparently broke the news to Amber via text, and that Amber has been left devastated by the decision.

"She thought he was a lovely guy, but he's made his feelings clear over text, which isn't very sensitive.

She had a feeling he was going to make decision to end things but only because she'd been hearing things.

They had a lovely weekend in Dublin planned but he's just pulled the plug and left her wounded.

Amber loved her time in the villa with Greg it's just not been the same since he left for Ireland."

The couple are due to appear on The Late Late Show this evening, so the veracity of these claims will soon be put to the test. Should they both appear on the show, then we can perhaps appear that all is well. However, should there be a hasty change of the running order and, instead of the duo making an appearance, they are suddenly replaced by a slightly disshevelled Marty Morrissey who appears to have been hastily dragged from the RTÉ canteen, then we will know that perhaps, the Love Island winners of 2019 are no more.
