Godolphin, a horse racing team and breeders owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates of all people, are providing a €6,000 bursary to the Cashel Community School.

The bursary will be awarded to one student completing their Leaving Cert in June 2018. Applications for the bursary are open during September/ October and the successful applicant will be decided after a review of the written applications and the completion of interviews. The successful candidate will be awarded a laptop as well as the money which will be provided in staggered instalments over the course of the student's degree. It will also be contingent on the completion of at least 100-hours of voluntary work with any charities or sporting organisations for each year of study.

This is a pretty great opportunity to those students who can avail of it.
