Starbucks Have Introduced A Whiskey Flavoured Coffee

But don't worry you can still drive after having one. Starbucks are using coffee beans aged in whiskey barrels to give them a unique whiskey flavour. They describe the process on their website:

Starbucks Reserve® Whiskey Barrel-Aged Sulawesi is made with green (unroasted) Starbucks Reserve® Sulawesi beans hand-scooped into freshly emptied oak aged whiskey barrels. The beans are then hand-rotated frequently, allowing the coffee to evenly absorb the whiskey flavor. After several weeks, the coffee is small-batch roasted, a process that eliminates the alcohol but still retains the distinctive whiskey notes.

'Eliminates the alcohol'... How dare they. So you're telling me after I buy my Starbucks Reserve Whiskey Barrel Aged Sulawesi I'm still going to have to buy whiskey to put in it?

Starbucks recommend the drink be served straight up that is to say chilled with ice, shaken or stirred, and then strained into a glass. This continues the trend of things flavoured like alcohol but yet not containing any alcoholic content. When will the madness end?
