Have You Taken A Snap At The Top 10 Most Instagrammed Places In Ireland?

We've all taken photos in typical touristy spots but it's pretty interesting to find out exactly what the most Instagrammed places in Ireland and the world are. Website TravelBird found this out by using common hashtags of popular sights, monuments and attractions, to create a rank of the most hashtagged destinations in the US and around the world.

These are the top 20 most Instagrammed places worldwide:

  1. Disneyland, California
  2. Eiffel Tower, Paris
  3. Walt Disney World, Florida
  4. South Beach, Florida
  5. Berlin Wall, Berlin
  6. Las Vegas Strip, Nevada
  7. Big Ben, London
  8. Times Square, New York
  9. Notre Dame, Paris
  10. Oktoberfest, Bavaria
  11. Mardi Gras, Louisiana
  12. Niagara Falls, Ontario
  13. Machu Picchu, Cusco
  14. Grand Canyon, Arizona
  15. Waikiki, Hawaii
  16. Burj Khalifa, Dubai
  17. Colosseum, Rome
  18. Yosemite National Park, California
  19. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
  20. Empire State Building, New York

How many have you snapped? As for Ireland, we were a little bit surprised by which place took out the top spot. Hint: it's not Cliffs of Moher.

Top 10 most Instagrammed places in Ireland:

  1. Giant's Causeway, Antrim
  2. The Guinness Storehouse, Dublin
  3. Tayto Park, Meath
  4. Kilkenny Castle
  5. Titanic Belfast
  6. Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin
  7. Tintern Abbey, Wexford
  8. Trim Castle, Meath
  9. Powerscourt Gardens and House, Wicklow
  10. Clonmacnoise, Offaly

No Cliffs of Moher to be seen! What an outrage. We were happy to see good ol' Tayto Park in there though, even if it isn't as popular as Disneyland.
