SOSU by SJ Hot Fire Palette; Burning Sensation Or Dwindling Flame?

With Blogger Suzanne Jackson absolutely dominating the Irish beauty industry as of late, her newest venture into the eye-shadow world was highly sought after. The palette is the first eye-shadow release from the brand and it boasts 12 warm-neutral shades including 4 shimmer. The palette was released online and in pharmacies on the 28th of August and has been selling out all over. Suzanne mentioned on her Snapchat, that her distributors are out of stock now and once everything online and in pharmacies sell there won’t be any stock until November! Props to you SJ that’s pretty amazing.

The palette itself looks insanely beautiful but is it living up to the standard of the rest of her products?! There has been quite a few mixed reviews by some beauty bloggers online.

Riona Cahill posted a First Impressions video to youtube where she said that she was “disappointed with the darker shades” and that the eyeshadows are “too soft and dusty”, however she did say that it is definitely not the worst eyeshadow palette ever and for someone who doesn't have a lot of makeup or is just starting out that it is a “good go-to everyday palette”.

Next up was a Second Impressions video from Inglot’s infamous Keilidh Mua where she spoke very truthfully about the product also demonstrating it. She said a lot of the same things that Riona Cahill did like, “The two darkest shades aren’t actually that dark” and “there is some fallout with the shadows”. However she offered some tips on how to make the shadows stand out more and get the best out of them. Check out her video for some tips and a bangin’ tutorial.

All in all I think SJ has made her whole beauty empire a burning sensation. From her lashings of lashes to her chiselled to perfection contouring palette, she hasn’t strayed too far wrong yet. Along with her new eyeshadow palette she has just released a new faux nail collection including the nails she wore on her wedding day, check it out on her website.

Props to you Suzanne!
