Tonight's Love Island Could See Golden Couple Dani And Jack In Trouble

Tonight's Love Island is the episode we've all been waiting for - the lie detector test.

Each series the lie detector test makes or breaks a couple. Last year the lie detector caused trouble for Danny and Marcel, a couple who became official two weeks into the show. In a teaser video released by Love Island, the boys - Josh, Wes, Alex, and Jack - can be seen telling a lie while new Jack is the only one who passes the test with flying colours:

New Jack is asked about whether he kissed Georgia and if he still has feelings for Laura by, awkwardly, Laura, both questions he answers truthfully. Laura jokingly replies to the second question "did you ever?".

Although it's unclear what Josh, Alex, and Wes lie about, it might have something to do with being faithful outside the villa. Dani painfully watches on as Jack undergoes the lie detector test and reveals the 'faithful' questions is the only one she cares about.

A lot of people doubt the lie detector test will have an impact on the remaining couples and think it's another ploy by the producers to stir some much-needed drama lama:

So far, the Twitter reaction to the lie detected tests have been pretty hilarious but we're expecting ITV to receive more complaints of emotional manipulation.

Last time the producers toyed with Dani and Jack - 'the' golden couple of Love Island 2018  - they received thousands of complaints. The couple are the bookies favourites to take home the £50,000 on this weeks' final so it won't just be fans left unhappy if the pair split up before the finale.
