Chocolate lovers rejoice! There is a new study that has linked chocolate to brain power... Everybody that loves devouring a bar of dairy milk (or ten if you're us) now has a viable excuse for it.
Psychologist Merrill Elias and her team have been working for 40 years to develop a link between eating chocolate and people's intelligence and their results are just wonderful. “We found that people who eat chocolate at least once a week tend to perform better cognitively. It’s significant – it touches a number of cognitive domains.”
We'll take it. Obviously chocolate once a week is a tiny bit too little for us, but you know, at least it'll be guilt free. Elias suggests that moderation as always is key. “I think what we can say for now is that you can eat small amounts without guilt if you don’t substitute chocolate for a normal balanced healthy diet.”
We're just gonna choose to focus on the good and that is that chocolate makes you more intelligent. Hurray!!!
