Ofcom Received 486 Complaints Over Maura's 'Predatory' Behaviour

Love Island Ofcom complaints are steadily on the rise since Maura entered the villa. Maura has her moments as the best contestant in the villa. She's funny, direct and where ever she goes drama usually follows. However, let's just call a spade a spade, her behaviour since she entered the villa is nothing short of  a sex pest. For all us watching her aggressive pursuit of Tommy Fury, it was cringe-worthy but also unacceptable behaviour for any gender. Close to 500 people were so offended by her 'predatory' behaviour that they lodged complaints with Ofcom, the UK's communications regulator.

During her aggressive pursuit for Tommy's affections, Maura climbed on top of him as he was getting ready to sleep on the couch. It was at this point that Maura lunged in for a kiss several times, clearly not getting the hint the first time, only to have Fury turn the other cheek. It made for terribly uncomfortable viewing and Twitter users were quick to point out that if she was a man, she would have been kicked out of the villa for sexual harassment.

In last's night's episode, Maura's man-crazy ways flared up again. In the dramatic recoupling, the object of her affection Tommy chose to recouple with Molly-Mae. In another shock twist, Maura and Anna, the two single girls went on dates with two new boys. Maura quickly set her sights on Tom, a model from Manchester. Following their date, Tom revealed that yes he did like Maura but Elma was '100% his type'. Maura's reaction was, to be frank, bat shit crazy.

Ofcom says it will assess the complaints before deciding whether to investigate.
