Maynooth Pub Is To Donate Its Thursday Night Proceeds To Attack Victim Kym Owens

A pub is donating all of its Thursday night proceeds to attack victim Kym Owens who was brutally attacked on Sunday night.

18-year-old arts student, Kym Owens, is currently in Blanchardstown hospital following a brutal attack near her college digs in Moyglare Abbey, an estate near the NUI Maynooth campus. The attack left her unconscious on the footpath and with severe damage to her jaw and eye sockets.

The Roost, a student bar of choice for the Maynooth campus, has wished the young student a speedy recovery from the attack. The management has said that it would donate Thursday evening's takings to the Owens family and will have a collection bucket available for patrons throughout the weekend.

Gardaí are appealing for any information on the attack, no arrests have been made as of yet.
