New Study Reveals The Staggering Amount Of Holy Communion Money Kids Make On Average

An Ulster Bank communion survey has revealed the child communion costs and it's expensive as you think. Parents are now spending, on average, nearly 900 euro per child.

The cost of a child's communion has risen annually in the last number of years.  An after church party is up 5 percent from last year with the average cost coming in at €388. A child's outfit for the day is also up 5% and on average costs €185.

Family members are spending less on themselves to facilitate the costs with a 27 percent price drop on the average outfit.

Although entertainment was surveyed at costing €78 it has dropped by 48 percent. Hairdressing costs have also dropped by 27 percent.

Children receive nearly €600 in gifts with over 13 percent raking in over a €1,000. Much like the work wage gap, boys are getting nearly €50 more on average at €591 to €550.

85 percent of the parents surveyed indicated that the amount of money the child is gifted will go into their savings for future expenses.
