Yesterday evening, two students of NUIG were hospitalised following an unspecified incident.
Concern about the condition of the students was raised yesterday evening necessitating the college to trigger their emergency response protocol.
The college first announced on Twitter that an incident had taken place yesterday.
Speaking to Independent.ie, Pat Morgan, the Vice President for Student Experiences said that the pair concerned needed "medical care on campus". They provided them with the immediate support they needed before bringing them to hospital.
The details of the incident aren't being disclosed to protect the identity of the two students concerned. However Ms. Morgan said that she is no cause to be "currently concerned about their condition" and that the college have also "provided support for other students on campus who may have been impacted."
