5 European August Festivals You Should Book Last Minute Tickets To

There's no way to end your Summer like grabbing some friends, packing up your Aldi tent and bussing it down to a festival. The two main problems with Irish festivals are the weather and bumping into your babysitter when you're in some state. That leaves only one solution... catching the last of the Summer festivals across Europe. If you're willing to nab yourself a last minute flight, here are the festivals going on in August:

Way Out West, Göteborg, Sweden -  10th, 11th and 12th of August

9 dagar. #wowgbg

Tickets for Way Out West start at €150 (1,440 in Swedish krona) and the line-up includes acts such as Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean, Flume, The XX, The Shins and Diplo. The downside to W.O.W. fest is that there are no direct flights to Gothenburg, as its known in English. But for that line-up, its worth getting a bit creative.

DGTL, Barcelona, Spain, 11th and 12th of August

DGTL is nearly sold out, and we can see why with two day passes going for as little as €73. Bear in mind, though, this is a non-camping festival so you'll have to hostel up. Acts such as Eats Everything, Âme, Joy Orbison and Derrick May will be playing at DGTL and it's park location lends itself to relaxing vibes. One flight to Barcelona and you're there, and you can take in all that the city has to offer during the festival too!

We Can Dance, Zeebrugge Beach, Belgium - 12th and 13th of August

Tickets go for €93 for the weekend, plus €40 for a weekend camping pass. This is the spot for any garage or house fans, with DJs such as DJ Harvey, Bedouin and Amyn. Okay, so we haven't heard of them either but this festival is essentially in a desert. Imagine living your desert dreams dancing away with gorgeous Belgian people. You can fly out to Bruges pure cheap and find your way on buses, trains and what have you.

Rock En Seine, Paris, France - 25th, 26th and 27th of August

If you're feeling bad and boujee, get your little butts to Paris for Rock En Seine. The tickets aren't too bad at all, from €119 for the whole weekend or €39 for a day ticket - camping is an additional fee of €60 for two people. This year's line-up includes Mac de Marco, Flume (again), George Ezra and Dublin's own Rejjie Snow. Thankfully, its only one direct flight with Ryanair or Aer Lingus so it'll be easy as pie to get there. Bonus points for if you flex your LC French.

Mysteryland, Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands - 25th, 26th and 27th of August

Mysteryland is the longest-running electronic festival in the world! Weekend camping tickets are an absolute steal at €149 all in. Look forward to huge names such as Sigma, Craig David and Deadmau5. The festival takes place only 20km from Amsterdam, so you can spend a day taking selfies at the big Amsterdam sign if you're so inclined.

Feel the fear and do it anyway. Book your flight and enjoy all of the music that the continent has to offer!
