A Worryingly Small Number Of Students Actually Have Beds Spaces In Dublin

It's no secret that finding any sort of Dublin student beds or accommodation is like searching for the lost city of Atlantis. It's a minefield that is only growing on an annual basis.

However according to The Irish Times, some new research done by Knight Frank has uncovered that student beds in Dublin only cater for 13pc of students. That's right, the number of students in Dublin have been steadily increasing while accommodation spaces have not.

A crazy figure is that over the past 10 years the student population of Dublin has increased by a whopping 34pc. Some good news however, is that there are 21 student accommodation projects in the pipeline which would be able to supply 7,181 beds by 2019, according to Knight Frank.

It seems like with all the craic happening with Brexit, the demand for student accommodation by British students will only cause the whole situation to get worse. It looks like you might be living with Mammy a little bit longer than expected, lads.
