It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 14 Has Begun Filming

Break out the rum ham and crowtein because the gang are back. After a surprisingly emotional and serious end to season 13, with Mac's Pride dance, the It's Always Sunny gang are back filming. With this new season, the gang are on course to break the record for longest running comedy series.

It appears that there's still plenty of mileage in the show and in a previous interview with The Wrap, Charlie Day said that the gang have no intention of stopping at Season 14.

I think 15 is the record for a comedy, so I imagine we’ll all want to hold the record for the longest-running comedy in America. Fifteen would be the record for the longest live-action comedy, so we’ll probably try and break that record if we can

Glenn Howerton confirmed the start of filming in an Instagram post yesterday. The world's most famous five star man gave us a behind the scenes look at himself on set in Dennis and Mac's apartment. Howerton also revealed he would be directing for the first time this season.

Fans will be hoping that the upcoming season will be a return to form after a hit and miss season 13. Two episodes (Time's Up For The Gang, and The Gang Gets New Wheels) are two of the top rated episodes of all time (5th and 6th highest). On the other hand, the series has three of the worst five episodes in the series (Charlie's Home Alone, The Gang Wins The Big Game, and The Gang Beats Boggs; Ladies Reboot)

The main men, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, and Rob McElhenney should be taking a more active role in this season, given that their side projects are no longer in action. Hopefully this will be a return to classic Always Sunny. Get excited jabronis!
