Anne Hathaway Confirms Princess Diaries 3 is in the works while answering a fans question on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Yes, I know these rumours have been circling for like, EVER, but this time I actually think it's going to happen!
While speaking to Andy Cohen, promoting her new film Serenity with Matthew McConaughey, a viewer called in with a question for Anne.
"Have you heard anything about Princess Diaries 3, seeing as the author said there was a script?"
THEN, Anne Hathaway gave us everything we ever wanted to hear from her.
"There is a script for the third movie. I want to do it, Julie wants to do it, Martin Chase our producer wants to do it. We all really want it to happen, but we don't want to do it unless it's perfect because we love it just as much as you guys love it and it's just as important to us as it is to you and we don't want to deliver anything until it's perfect. So we're working on it."
The sequel to the series was released in 2004, so we've definitely been waiting too long for this one. That's a whole 15 years!!
At the end of the last film, Mia was crowned queen and her Grandmother and Joe got married instead of Mia and Andrew after Mia abolished the law that states she has to marry to be queen. But, who does Mia end up with? Did she have kids? Did she rule the Genovia well? Did she get herself into any horribly awkward situations as of late?
We're looking forward to see what Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo (Mia) is getting up to these days.
