Oysters, Terrorism And Heart Break: Tonight's First Dates Ireland Was An Emotional Rollercoaster

Another bunch of singletons visited the First Dates Hotel in the hopes of finding love. Some were the perfect match but, as per usual, a few daters just didn't hit it off.

First up was Andrew, who loves looking at himself in the mirror and his ideal partner would be himself - fair enough. Harry, Andrews date, struggled to understand where Louth, Drogheda, and Dundalk were on the map. Harry revealed that he was a "fake fan" of the Harry Potter series but his biggest fear was being murdered on a date:

Denise and Stephen decided to try out the oysters but Stephen just couldn't keep it in his mouth. After spitting out the oysters several times, fans of the show are begging for the slimy things to be taken off the First Dates menu:

And fans couldn't help but compare Denise to the stars of American comedy:

Harry decided he wasn't having any of Andrew for one simple reason: Andrew spoke too much to the waitress...

But Andrew left us with the truth:

Sarah from Longford, who works in terrorism, is probably one of the most interesting daters the show has ever seen and her chemistry with Andie had us on the edge of our seats. Sadly, Andie wasn't feeling it and in the end, we were devastated.

Surprisingly, the biggest romance of the night was Tara, from Tallaght, and Eoin from the Midlands. Eoin and Tara kept the banter flowing as Tara told the First Dates Hotel staff about the ins and outs of road frontage. Tara was looking for a man who was just as obsessed with hurling as she was and with Eoin she was on to a winner. In a somber twist, Tara revealed a harrowing story from her past, she lost both her baby and her partner in the space of three months, and viewers couldn't help but fall in love with her:

Finally, road frontage got the explanation it needed. Everybody say, love!

First Dates Ireland returns next Tuesday at 9:30.
