Kim Kardashian Is Studying To Be A Criminal Justice Lawyer

In an interview with Vogue, Kim Kardashian revealed that she started a four- year internship with a law firm back in Francisco last summer and aspires to take the bar exam in 2022.

Kim Kardashian first came into the public eye working as Paris Hilton's personal assistant. She started gaining media coverage in her own right when a sex tape was released with her and then boyfriend Ray J in 2003. Rumours are still circulating that it was in fact her mother, Kris Jenner, now 'momager' that was responsible for releasing the sex tape for publicity. We will never know the truth, but nevertheless, it worked. Following the sex tape, she and her family landed their own reality TV show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' now in its 16th season. The mother of four now has a net worth of $350 million USD and is ranked at #30 on Forbes's list of wealthiest celebrities.

This latest revelation about her career aspirations comes as a surprise to many. Her decision to pursue a career as a criminal justice lawyer was influenced by the role she played in the release of Alice Marie Johnson last summer. Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great-grandmother, was given a life sentence in prison for a nonviolent drug-related crime and was not eligible for parole. Kim met with President Donald Trump to discuss prison reform and petition for Alice Marie's pardoning. A week after Kim's visit to the white house, Trump granted pardon.

Speaking about her following studies, Kim says:

First year of law school, you have to cover three subjects: criminal law, torts, and contracts. To me, torts is the most confusing, contracts the most boring, and crim law I can do in my sleep. Took my first test, I got a 100. Super easy for me. The reading is what really gets me. It’s so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in two seconds.

Kim will take what is known as the “baby bar” this summer if she passes, she will be given the OK to continue for three more years of study.
