A Rom-Com Fave Is Coming To Ireland In The Form Of A Musical

Legally Blonde: The Musical is coming to Dublin and it's going to be like, totally, amazing!

Yes, your favourite blonde lawyer is coming to Ireland as the musical, which is nearly ten years old, has been given the green light to play in Dublin.

The feel-good romantic comedy was a massive hit back in the early 00's when Reese Witherspoon played Elle Woods, former 'ditzy blonde' who proves everyone wrong by focusing on both her books and looks, who becomes a hot shot lawyer.

The all singing and dancing musical debut in 2007 and has become a sensational hit on both the West End and Broadway stage. Now, the production will take to the stage of the Bord Gais Energy Theatre from March 5 - 10, 2018.

The musical is critically and commercially successful in the States as its earned seven Tony nominations it was nominated for five Laurence Olivier Awards in the UK. It won three awards including Best New Musical at the Laurence Olivier Awards.

The musical includes a number called 'Ireland' which talks about a sailor named Brendan, whales and Enya and is sung by Paulette, Elle's wacky best friend.

Tickets are expected to retail for €20 or above and are not available for online booking at the moment.
