Lindsay Lohan Thinks 'Mean Girls' Sequel Could Legit Happen

It's hard to believe it's been 12 years since Lindsay Lohan's career fell off a cliff, ahem, Mean Girls was released. No other movie since has come close to replicating the hilarity and bitchiness of the original, including the widely panned/scarcely viewed Mean Girls 2 which was a straight-to-TV mess.

But we have promising news today: Lindsay Lohan is so eager to do a Mean Girls sequel for realsies that she has even written a story line for it.

Lindsay dropped in to CNN Abu Dhabi to plead her case for the sequel, in a bid to reignite her career/life.

“I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2. It is not in my hands," she said. "I know that Tina Fey, and Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount are very busy. But I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it.”

"I have already written a treatment for it. I just need a response," she said. "I know Mark Waters, the director; he’d happily come back.”
