The 7 People You'll See in Every College Society

Societies are an integral part of college life and are a great place to make friends.

For some, society life is the most important part of their entire college experience. Societies are most definitely beneficial as well as great for socialising.

However, if you've been in a society for a while now, you'll start to notice the same people seem to emerge every year. With everyone from the bossy-boots to the overly enthusiastic member, if you're in a society you'll recognise all of these people.

1. The eager fresher

This person has arrived on to the scene with such eager-ness they sicken most people. They'll probably be nominated for 'Fresher of the Year' and will go on to run the society some day, also they piss everyone off.

2. The bossy final year

This person sees them self as the buck around campus. Their inflated ego from running a society means they'll leave college without any real mates and/or life skills in general.

3. The over-achiever

This person will volunteer for anything and everything as long as they can add it to their CV.

4. The person who's there for the free stuff

This makes up 60% of society members. Free pizza and they'll be there.

5. The control freak

This person is normally vice-chair and runs the meetings. You will find them with 3 folders of organised agendas at all times.

6. The stresser

This person is normally in charge of events and are crying at every opportunity.

7. The overly involved person

They're probably in four other societies and are constantly running from meeting to meeting, however their positive attitude masks their stressed interior.
