Ireland's First 'Alcohol Free' Bar The Virgin Mary Is Opening Very Soon

People all across Ireland are facing back to reality today after the long weekend. With mild weather, for many of us, the first port of call was the pub and today we are regretting that decision. As with most long weekends, we face the two-day hangover and vow never to drink again. This never lasts long, however, as soon as Friday comes our memories are short lived and we're straight to the pub. If only there's a simpler solution. Well, now one Dublin bar believes they have the solution, introducing The Virgin Mary, Ireland's first every "Alcohol-Free" bar.

The Virgin Mary Bar based on Capel Street is opening this Friday, May 10th and will sell a selection of alcohol- free beers, wines, spirits and bespoke non-alcoholic cocktails.

Here's a sneak peek at some of the cocktails you can expect from The Virgin Mary. Alcohol or no alcohol, these look mouth-watering:

The bar's tagline is "Finally, a bar with more options", I agree, finally the option of remembering a night after cocktails.

The idea for the pub came from Vaughan Yates and Oisin Davis, who became frustrated with the lack of venues suitable for people wanting to hang out with friends after work say but who didn't want to drink. Speaking to the Irish Times, Bar Manager, Anna Walsh, questions “Can you lose the booze and keep the craic?”.

We'll soon find out. The Virgin Mary opens this Friday, May 10th.
